Happy Monday Southern Crusaders
Hello from the desk of Irene G, Kevin and the Southern Crusaders.
In 2015 Facebook introduced a new feature for its users, capitalizing on trends of online video consumption and in-the-moment updates, known as Facebook Live.
Making use of this online media has the potential to create a huge impact on your Youngevity business because nothing will allow you to build better quality leads and to build trust with total strangers faster than video.
Using Facebook Live, the broadcaster can make a live video and publish it to a Page or profile on Facebook so that fans and friends who missed it can watch it at a later time. The broadcaster can remove the video post at any time, just like any other post. Once a broadcast has ended, live videos are eligible to show up everywhere that other videos appear. Traffic can also be driven to them using Facebook Ads.
The reason why video marketing works so well is because, as we already know, NWM is all about relationships and nothing will warm your potential prospect up faster and help them feel like they know and trust you better than video. There is just something magical that happens when a viewer can hear your voice and feel your energy as apposed to just reading words on a page.
Even if you are just getting started with video marketing or you have never made a video before in your life or if you want better results from the videos you are already creating, the following is a five step fool proof formulae, that will get qualified leads generating for you.
Step one: introduce yourself – This should not take more than a few seconds, more than that is too much. Just simply say “Hi my name is ……….. The reason why you do not spend longer than that is people don’t care about you, they care about themselves, they care about the problems that you can help them solve or the value that you can give them therefore your video should not be about you at all, it should be about one thing, and that one thing is your Target Market people and their needs and wants and desires and if you don’t tell them within the first 10 seconds what’s in it for them they are going to leave and go find a better marketer so that’s why we want to get to step 2 of our video as quickly as possible.
Step 2: Grab their attention – This is where we get them to focus; hence step two will be to ask a question, for example –
- “Would you ever like to .…?”
- “Do you ever struggle with …?”
- “Have you ever wondered …….?”
The reason why asking a question is so effective is that it serves as a pattern interrupt. It’s going to grab their attention and force them to focus. It is psychologically almost impossible for our brain to ignore a question. This is how you can control the focus of your viewer and where you will sell the viewer on watching the rest of the video.
Step 3: Subject – Let them know what you are going to tell them about.
For example – “In this video, I am going to give you 3 steps to…insert solution to the previous question here……” You are letting them know they are in the right place. Within the first 20 seconds of our video we have told them who we are, we have commanded their attention and we have made a promise that we are going to give them some value. This is how it might sound – “Hi my name is ….…..Have you ever struggled with getting rid of stubborn belly fat? Well in this video I am going to give you 3 tips on how to eliminate your belly fat once and for all.”
Step 4: The pay off – This is going to be the main part of your video where you are going to deliver on your promise – “The first strategy to get rid of belly fat is ….…and the second tip is ……. and the third is ……” Keep it short, you just teach a little bit but you do not want to teach too much, two to three minutes is usually the max especially if this is the first video that they are going to see from you. The goal is not to overwhelm them with information but rather to build trust and to position your self as an authority which is going to set the viewer up for step 5
Step 5: Give a clear call to action (CTA) – Don’t forget to do this step. If you don’t tell people exactly what you want them to do next they will do nothing. It could be as simple as – go on to social media and like my page or this video or a CTA that will result in you generating a lead or making a sale. For example “Hey if you liked this video and you would like to learn more about…. head on over to my website and I will give you ……. (Offer something free)…Or reach out to me personally on social media, send me a private message….Or send me an email” You can even give them your phone number and ask them to call you. It is better to have people reaching out to you rather than you having to chase them down all the time.
This template really works and has been used by Top Earners to generate an enormous amount of leads using social media.
You don’t have to have special background to make this work. In fact if you are out somewhere having fun, it is the perfect time. Just grab your smart phone and do it. This one marketing strategy has the power to totally change your business into a lead generating machine.
Some people are not ready to stand in front of a camera. In this case you can screencast videos where they will only see your computer screen and hear your voice. So no matter where your comfort level lies, you’ll be creating your first videos in no time. (This is also the very best way to keep in touch with your organisation.)
The Tool Box – How to successfully prospect at Events
Attending Events is a great way to find prospects especially attending self improvement or training events. This is where you can really practice your Net Working skills and talk with people because these are people who are already looking for more. Attending Events can be very powerful for you. Most people who prospect at events go about it entirely the wrong way.
This is the way professionals work –
- Never pitch or try to sell at an Event. You are looking for contacts not recruiting. It is not about getting your information out and then going home and then hoping and waiting by the phone. IT IS ALL IN THE FOLLOW UP! Unless you follow up then you wasted your time and money attending the Event in the first place. Here is a key on why it is a good idea to follow up – because no one does! You will stand out when you just do that one thing. This puts you in the 3% paradigm.
- Collecting business cards is your number one goal. People ask “What do I need to take to this Event? Shall I load it with brochures or CDs or DVD’s, what do I put in my pockets? Go with empty pockets and fill them up with business cards. It is all about building your prospect list.
- Have control of the conversation and you do this by calling them on the phone the next day. More than 48hours is too late. Don’t email them, call them. It does not have to be a two hour marathon for each call, just give them a quick call to touch base, get the relationship started and be in a hurry (remember Eric Worre). You will, hopefully have a lot of calling to do and you won’t be having time to waste (this is only the first call to begin to learn about them and qualify them on your list).

Till next time folks, have a super awesome day,
